Anthony Bourdain made me look at the world differently. His travel show, Parts Unknown, opened the world to us all. He made me feel like we were all more alike than we were different and that there wasn't as much to fear about the world as I thought.
One show that stood out to me was the Ha Noi, Vietnam episode. I have probably watched that one 20 times. It was the reason my husband and I started going to Vietnam in 2017 and continue to return. Anthony said about Vietnam..." once you love it, you'll love it forever." Ditto.
I think he is being remembered as one of the most influential television correspondents in recent history. He encouraged us to experience different cultures through their food and to venture off the beaten track. Move away from the touristy places and go deeper.
I was a huge fan and I can only imagine how many more great things he could have done, if he were still with us today.

Anthony Bourdain was an incredible storyteller and connected with so many people. He took us on journeys many of us will never make, but he inspired us to open our hearts, minds, and souls to one another wherever we may go.
He will be forever missed by many of us.
